Red White and Blue with a Twist:

Pretzels and chocolate are the ultimate salty sweet combination and they also make for the perfect last minute treat! Simply take your favourite pretzels (I used jumbo pretzel twists), dip them in melted milk or dark chocolate and coat them with a generous layer of red, white and blue sprinkles.

America's Favourite Cookie:

Oreos are apparently America's Favourite Cookie and there's only one way to make them better than they already are - and that's to add more chocolate! These chocolate dipped Oreos are made the same way as the pretzels; simply dipping them in melted chocolate (in this case I used Golden Oreos dipped in white chocolate) and covering them with sprinkles.

Red White and Berry Tart:

This can be either homemade, or embellished at home. Buy or make a custard tart and top it with fresh raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. If you're feeling extra creative, arrange your berries to look like the American flag. If you don't like custard, this also works with cake - just frost your cake and top with berries!

Stars and Stripes Cookies:

Sugar cookies are one of those quintessentially American desserts to me and this recipe is an O'Neil family favourite! Simple to make and delicious to eat, they are sure to become a favourite in your home too!

Instead of icing, I "frosted" these with melted white chocolate and a drizzle of melted candy melts.
