This week on The Real Housewives of Sydney, you'll get a little look at last year's Food Truck Fund Event. This was the first of hopefully many fundraising events, designed to raise funds and awareness for a charity of choice through an evening of fun, laughs and delicious food.
Our plan, when creating the inaugural Food Truck Fund Event was to create a low key event where everyone felt welcome and had fun. There are so many charity galas and auctions and limited number events out there, however, what I really wanted to create was an event where the whole family could come along - from newborn babies to grandparents and even your four legged pals!
Last year's event was a huge success, raising over $120,000 with delicious food from Shisofine, Cantina Aigo Two, De Wafel, Kayter, NYPD, Frtiz’s Wieners, Monster Rolls, Happy as Larry, Agape Concepts, Tsuru, Lets do Yum Cha, and Eat Art Truck available for purchase as well as a sideshow alley to keep the kids entertained with Catch a Duck, Lucky Envelopes and Laughing Clowns thanks to Joylands Entertainment.
We sold over 1000 tickets for the event, with each $50 ticket valid for two dishes at any food truck (or food trucks) of your choice.
All of that just couldn't have been possible without our incredible sponsors - and Woollahra Council for all of their support.
We will soon be announcing the 2017 Food Truck Fund Event, to be held on Thursday December 7th, 2017. Sign up for updates by clicking below and subscribing to our email list (don't worry, we won't spam you!) and put the date in your calendar so you have the evening free!
