DIY Printable Valentine’s Day Card Draft
I love any excuse for a celebration, and with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to reshare an old favourite project.
These Valentine’s Day cards I made with Nawal and Neve back in 2017 and they’re the perfect DIY to make with your kids to share with loved ones or friends.
You Make My Heart Pop Valentine's Card Design
What you'll need:
Printed You Make My Heart Pop Template (on paper or cardboard)
Pencils/crayons/textas to colour in
Popped popcorn
Hot glue gun or PVA glue
Once you've coloured in your cards and written your message inside, stick pieces of popcorn to the card as shown using a hot glue gun or PVA/craft glue.
My Tip: Make sure you have some extra popcorn for eating as you definitely don't want to be eating popcorn smothered in glue. Yuck!
Bee Mine Valentine's Card Design
What you'll need:
Printed Bee Mine Template (on paper or cardboard)
Pencils/crayons/textas to colour in
Foil wrapped chocolate bees
Sticky tape or double sided tape to attach the bees.
Once you've coloured in your cards and written your message inside, simply attach your chocolate bees to the front of the card with sticky tape or double sided tape.
My Tip: You can find these chocolate bees at the David Jones Food Court. Lindt also do adorable Chocolate Bees and Lady Bugs (perfect for a Love Bug card!) at this time of year.
I Heart You Valentine's Card Design
What you'll need:
Printed I Heart You Template (on paper or cardboard)
Pencils/crayons/textas to colour in
Foil wrapped chocolate hearts
Sticky tape or double sided tape to attach the hearts
Once you've coloured in your cards and written your message inside, simply attach your chocolate hearts to the front of the card with sticky tape or double sided tape.
My Tip: You can find these chocolate wrapped hearts at the David Jones Food Court. You could also use a heart shaped lolly pop if you prefer. Simply cut a small slit to slip the stick through and sticky tape the stick to the inside.
Sending a Big Kiss Valentine's Card Design
What you'll need:
Printed Sending a Big Kiss Template (on paper or cardboard)
Pencils/crayons/textas to colour in
Lipstick
Hair spray (not water based)
Once you've coloured in your cards and written your message inside, put on some lipstick and leave a big kiss print on the card. Seal the print with a quick spray of hair spray and allow it to dry.
My Tip: Don't use water based hair spray when sealing your lip prints as it tends not to work as well.
