Photo Diary: My Floral 40th Birthday Celebration

I love any excuse for a party, but a 40th birthday is cause for celebration and I decided to celebrate with all things floral. With my house finally finished, I knew it would be the perfect venue for a floral themed garden party. Balloons from Party Splendour formed a path from the front gate, leading guests inside where the fun, food and festivities were waiting.

The garden was filled with long tables and bright velvet lounges. The tables were set with crockery from Class Occasion Hire and charger plates from Kmart (yes, Kmart!). Floral paper fans were used as place settings with placecards by Paper Jam Studio. Wilder created the most incredible floral centrepieces, with bright flowers placed everywhere around the house and garden. Canapes were served as guests arrived, before a sit down buffet lunch catered by JunEdulmuth Catering.

I wore a floral Dolce and Gabbana Dress (no longer available, but my favourite pieces are linked above) with Louboutin shoes, hair by Joh Bailey and the “O’Neil Family Tiara” - a tiara I bought at auction in London years ago that I had restored. It’s originally from the 1870’s and I hope it will become a family heirloom, passed down through generations. Afterall, who doesn’t love a tiara?Never one to say no to dessert, lunch was followed by a delicious dessert buffet, including cookies, delicious cupcakes from The Cupcake Princess - and cake! My Mum had organised a tiara cake for me as my official birthday cake - but I was lucky enough to have three birthday cakes!

Nawal and Neve’s dresses were from David Jones. Nawal wore this Keepsake Dress and Neve wore this By Johnny dress.

My second birthday cake was an incredible Croquembouche Cake (my favourite!) from Croquembouche Patisserie. And my third cake was this beautiful 40 cookie cake, created by Quincy Lane. The party carried on long into the night with ham, cheese, bread and snacks served alongside pizza from The Pizza Boys, giving guests the energy to dance all night long! And dance we did!

C’Darz provided us with traditional dancing and incredible music. It was an incredible day, filled with family, friends, fun and delicious food. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday celebration and I’m still floating a week later!

Now what party to plan next! Soon I’ll have to officially introduce you to my newest babies. Rocket and Luna were a birthday gift from Adam and the girls, two beautiful black cavoodles who we are already completely in love with! We’ve also added another pup, Comet to our family, after saying goodbye to our beloved Bella.
