Honey Mustard Maple Ham

No Christmas table is complete without this delicious honey mustard maple ham. It is a winner at every party, not just Christmas! I love to serve it with some crusty bread rolls, mustards, pickles and butter.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Remove all the shelves in the oven except the bottom one. Preheat the oven to 170C. Line a large baking tray with 2 layers of foil or baking paper.
  2. Stir all the ingredients except the whole cloves in a bowl and set aside.
  3. To prepare the ham, use a sharp knife and cut around the shank of the ham, around the edge of the skin, slowly peel back to remove. Remove any excess fat. (I like mine with very little fat). Score the ham in a diamond pattern then stud the centres of each diamond with a clove.
  4. Brush the ham with 1/3 of the glaze and then bake for 1hour and 30 minutes, reglazing every 30 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and allow ham to cool before serving or chilling.

Notes

Serve the ham with an array of condiments, including picked onions, cornichons, assorted mustards, butter and crusty bread rolls.
