I love nothing more than hosting family and friends for a casual lunch or dinner - and no get together is complete without a delicious dessert! Whilst sponge cakes may seem intimidating, this is my favourite easy recipe. It makes the perfect light and fluffy sponge cake that is ready to be covered with icing or whipped cream for a decadent dessert.
In summer, I love covering my cake with fresh berries - but you can change your topping and filling based on what you have available at home!
