Be Inspired: Mediterranean Themed Table Setting
La Dolce Vita - "The Sweet Life". Having spent the last week in beautiful Capri, I have fallen in love with all things Mediterranean. This Mediterranean themed table setting is the perfect way to bring a little slice of the Mediterranean to your own table - and is so easy to recreate.
For each place setting, I kept things quite simple using round hyacinth placemats and white round plates topped with a blue and white printed napkin, a real lemon and a "lemon leaf" place card, made from green cardboard.
The blue, white and yellow theme continued throughout the table with beautiful Mediterranean inspired dishes. These dishes were ones I had found on a previous trip to Capri, however, below are some similar options!
In the centre of the table was a delicious Mediterranean antipasto plate that makes for both the perfect appetizer - and the perfect centrepiece when your guests arrive.
Antipasto plates are great as you can pick and choose what you like and make it as little or as large as you need.
My platter included:
A variety of olives
Sundried tomatoes
Chargrilled capsicum
Fresh vegetable crudites
Salami and prosciutto
Gherkins
You could also add cheeses, dips, foccacia bread - the possibilities are endless!
And there you have it - a simple but beautiful table setting that can work for a variety of occasions! La Dolce Vita!
