Few designers have captured my heart the way Dolce & Gabbana have. Their creations have been woven into some of my most cherished memories—milestone celebrations, family gatherings, and even a family photoshoot inspired by their Carretto Siciliano collection. So, when I heard about Du Cœur À La Main, Dolce & Gabbana's latest exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, I knew I had to see it for myself.

Stepping into Du Cœur À La Main is like stepping into the heart of Dolce & Gabbana. The exhibition is a tribute to their dedication to craftsmanship, tradition, and the Italian spirit. From intricate lacework to richly embroidered fabrics, each piece tells a story of artistry and heritage.

Featuring one-of-a-kind pieces from their Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria and Alta Gioielleria collections, each of the 10 rooms showcases Dolce & Gabbana's bespoke creations, featuring handmade embellishments, dramatic silhouettes, and vibrant Sicilian-inspired prints—each embodying the soul of Dolce & Gabbana.

Beyond the couture, the exhibition also explores the personal inspirations behind Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s work. Vintage family photos, handwritten notes, and archival sketches reveal the cherished family memories and passion that fuel their designs, showing the heart behind the designs that is why they are so much more than items of clothing or couture.

Fashion isn’t just about clothing—it’s about emotion, memory, and self-expression. Dolce & Gabbana has a way of making every piece feel like a work of art, a love letter to Italian heritage, and a celebration of femininity. Whether in the grandeur of Du Cœur À La Main or in the personal moments I’ve experienced in their designs, their creations continue to inspire me and I wanted to share some of my favourite memories with you.

My Favourite Dolce & Gabbana Memories

Dolce & Gabbana has been a constant in my wardrobe, and many of their pieces hold sentimental value. Perhaps the most special of all is the Carretto Siciliano collection. My family and I serendipitously collected dresses from this collection over the years, and it became the inspiration for a Dolce & Gabbana Inspired Mother's Day photoshoot back in 2018.

The campaign’s vibrant prints, reminiscent of Sicilian carts, spoke to our shared love for bold colours and timeless elegance. We surrounded ourselves with elements that held meaning—old family photographs, olive branches from our garden, and even our beloved dogs (who, as always, stole the show!).
