The Sydney Chocolate Ball with Mum.png

Food:

On Saturday my Mum and I spent the night eating the most incredible food at the 9th Annual Chocolate Ball, raising money for the FSHD Global Research Foundation.

The menu, created by Luke Mangan, included;

  • Champagne Cured Salmon with White Chocolate Salt
  • Braised Beef Pithivier with Chocolate and Jalapeno
  • Milk Chocolate Mousse with Whiskey Brulee and Pineapple

And a chocolate fountain - just in case you needed some more chocolate. It was an absolutely spectacular event, as always. The ball is held each year to raise funds to help find a cure for FSHD or Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy - a disease which effects both children and adults.

FSHD is a progressive muscle wasting disease that has no treatment or cure. It's a disease that's not selective in who gets it - it effects everyone; women and men, young and old - people from all walks of life.

But it's not just the facial muscles that are effected - this disease can also rob people of their ability to walk, talk, smile or even eat. Even the progression of the disease is sporadic and uncontrollable, with progression often coming in bursts with sudden deterioration followed by periods of no change. Just imagine how heartbreaking this would be if it was your child/wife/husband/mother/father/sister/brother/best friend. But we can make a difference! By raising funds for FSHD we can help to find a cure - and you can donate now at https://fshdglobal.org/donations

If I show you a picture on my phone don't swipe .jpg

Funny:

Swiper NO swiping!

Because if they swipe, you'll always have something you don't want them to see. Screenshots, surprise birthday presents, price tags from things you told your husband were much cheaper.... ;)

Alinka Jewellery Double Bay Store Opening.jpg

Fashion:

I have some incredible talented friends - and one of those friends is the genius behind ALINKA. With their new Sydney store recently opened in Double Bay, I've found my wishlist growing longer and longer!

If you're a fan of dainty, beautiful jewellery pieces, I think you'll find yourself with the same problem ;)

Here are a few of my favourite pieces! Click the images to shop/find out more.

Food:

If you're in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne and looking for a delicious burger, try The Burger Project by Neil Perry. Mum, the girls and I stopped their last week for a Friday Night treat dinner and the burgers were even more delicious than they look on Instagram! Yum!
