Where to Shop in London - The Best Places to Shop in London
It's All About The Shopping

It's no secret that I love to shop.

I'm flying out to London later this week and I thought, as I'm eagerly anticipating the shopping sprees in my near future, now would be the perfect time to share my favourite places to shop in London!  Whether you're looking for a new outfit, a bargain or souveneirs to take home, there's something in this list for everyone!

The Best Places to Shop in London - Portobello Road Markets

Portobello Road Market - Portobello Road, London W11 1AN

Portobello Road Market

A favourite of Fashion Bloggers for it's Instagram worthy backdrop, Portobello Road Markets are a modern day treasure hunt. It's actually several markets in one, but here's a quick guide of what you'll find on any given day;

  • Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday
Where and When? 9am to 5pm between Elgin Crescent and The Westway
What You'll Find: Fruit and vegetables, household goods and a few stalls with vintage clothing, clothing boutiques or bric-a-brac. If you're looking for hot food or more fruit and vegetables, head over to Golborne Road.
  • Thursday
Where and When?  Thursdays is a half day market with stalls open from 9am-1pm.
What You'll Find: Fruit and vegetables, clothing and a few bric-a-brac and food stalls
  • Friday
Where and When? 9am-7pm across multiple locations.
What You'll Find: Fridays market is split into different sections. Find Antiques on Southern Portobello Road, Vintage Clothing and Collectibles on Portobello Green, North Portobello, Bric-a-Brac, Furniture and Food on Golborne Road and a bit of everything in the middle of the market.
  • Saturday
When and Where? Saturday is the main market day with the full street open from 9am to 7pm
What You'll Find: You'll find the same stalls as Friday's market, as well as; the Antiques Arcade open, antique stores on Westbourne Grove between Portobello and Kensington Park Roads,
  • Sunday
    Market is closed.

Who will love it: Anyone. Portobello Road really has something for everyone and is a great experience. My recommendation is to go early on a Saturday morning for the best variety of stalls. Going early also helps to avoid the crowds!

Don't Miss: The food stalls. There are so many delicious things to be found!

Can You Shop Online? No! This is one place you'll have to visit in person.
